Hart County travels to to Adel tonight to take on Cook in AAA State Playoffs

The Bulldogs will be traveling over 4 hours away from home tonight to take on the Cook Hornets.  The Bulldogs and Cook are both coming off of 42-14 wins against their first round opponents.  Below is a look at a preview of tonight’s game courtesy of The Georgia High School Football Daily.

Records, rankings: Hart County is 10-1, the No. 2 seed from Region 8-AAA and No. 8; Cook is 9-2, the No. 1 seed from 1-AAA and unranked.

Last meeting: This is the teams’ first meeting.

Three things to know: 1. Hart County is trying to reach the quarterfinals for the first time since 2006, which is also the last time the Bulldogs won 10 games in a season. Cook’s most recent quarterfinal appearance was a 21-14 loss to Buford in 2010. The Hornets won one playoff game in 2011 and lost in the first round the past two seasons. 2. Hart County QB Cameron Fouch was 17-for-28 passing for 274 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 48 yards in a 42-14 victory against East Hall last week. For the season, Fouch is 146-for-235 passing for 2,422 yards and 21 TDs. His top target is Anthony Turner, who has 40 receptions for 645 yards and seven TDs. 3. Cook rushed for 490 yards and six touchdowns and had three players with 100 or more yards in a 42-14 victory over Central of Macon in the first round. Jay Smith finished with 178 yards and two touchdowns on 17 attempts. Tavian Allen rushed for 149 yards and had touchdown runs of 41 and 3 yards, and Corey McCall ran for 100 yards and two TDs.
